Steadfast Resort Properties, led by Luis Garcia, was created to acquire and operate resort properties in the United States, the Caribbean and Latin America. The business model includes ownership and management of resort hotels, as well as the development of vacation ownership resorts, or timeshares. Since 2005 Steadfast hotels and resorts have been branded “Tesoro Resorts” -- Steadfast’s own hotel brand and first all-inclusive brand in Mexico. The name translates to “treasure” in Spanish. Steadfast Resort Properties currently owns and manages 820 rooms at three Mexican resort properties, all managed through a joint venture between Steadfast Companies and Interstate Hotels and Resorts (NYSE:IHR).
